Is your bank account Fat and Happy or is it STARVING?
There are two types of clients who have reached out to me lately needing help in their business. It’s been a clear trend. First, there is the is a person who has a dream or a passion/gift/strength but really doesn’t know how to get their business started. Some may not have started at all, or have been involved in another program they joined with high hopes (and a lot of cash) that has caused a lot of busy work for them but no matter how hard they have worked, followed explicit directions or tried to make it work, they’re still not making money, and they are not getting clients.
The second type is a person who’s been in business for a while and feels that their business is always in “Feast or Famine” mode. (these are the exact words one of my new clients used a month ago who now states they landing more clients last week than they have landed in 15 years in any one week) This Feast Or Famine – Type seems to have significant highs and significant lows and the exhaustion they are experiencing has made them vividly think of just giving up. On occasion for some, they may even have a spouse who has suggested on occasion for them to go “get a real job”. “But I have a real job” they say and “I don’t understand why they don’t understand”. “I’m not getting the support I want from home” is another common complaint I hear and “I love what I do, I just want to be able to serve more people”. Other Coaches have come to me, who are DAMN GOOD COACHES, but are struggling to find clients. I hear this stuff everyday and it hurts me so much to see these amazing people who have amazing gifts and talent be in pain and not be able to share their gift with others.
Those who come to me inquiring about my services don’t come to me because they are money hungry or all they desire is more money. They come to me because there are things in their life, many of those which are intangible, they want for themselves, or they want to be able to give to others, and having more money would certainly make these things come to fruition.

I finally decided to take a day off today on Sunday, and now this story is just coming out of me for whatever reason, I don’t know. I’m assuming it’s because the universe wanted me to share this message with you. I started reading a book lately as required by my mastermind. I wasn’t excited that I was being told to read a book but for some reason, I feel like it was something I was supposed to do. Boy, was I right! I want to share some of the things that I have learned from this book over the last few weeks. Remember, we’re not always learning new things, we are just hearing them and seeing them at times that we need to or ARE READY to hear them. They hit us the hardest at that moment.
The things that I am about to share with you are examples of WHY my business is a FEAST, and when I don’t practice these things, why my business was a famine. I can assure you this is the same thing that is happening for you.
1. It’s never enough! If you’re someone who is working very hard because you feel you don’t have enough money, enough clients, enough time, enough anything, then stop using those words! The big AHA for me reading this learning this in this book is that the truly wealthy dwell of ENOUGH. Wealth is a consciousness, not a number. It’s a way of thinking, feeling, and seeing. That does NOT mean to stop working hard, stop PLANNING properly or to lose your drive and motivation. What it means is to be happy AND hungry. Appreciate what you have and also enjoy the adventure of expanding your world: stretching and striving for better not because you NEED to but because seeking improvement is the nature of your life. Perfection is not a place, it is a journey. Be assertive and consistent in reaching for more and ensure you are taking action on the RIGHT things that allow the universe to bring more into your life. (I show my clients how to make more money. I don’t have them do MORE things; I change the way they are doing things)
2. Why is everyone else being more successful than me while I’m working so hard? Well, this is one I struggled with personally for a long time, and did for my entire life. I always felt like I had to work harder and longer for the same things that seem to come so easily for other people. What I’m learning is that life is only going to give you what you are open to receiving AND what you “believe” that you deserve. It’s one thing for you to say that you want all these wonderful and awesome abundant things. But do you really think that you deserve them? Do you really think that you can actually have them? My dad kept a picture on his wall his entire life from when he knew Coach Bear Bryant while he was at the University of Alabama. The man was magnetic and it was interesting for me to learn that he never lost a game when he was the coach. It was fascinating for me to learn that he never once watched or showed videos of the mistakes his team members made. What he did instead was show videos of what people did right. What we focus on is what we get. Stop worrying about why other people are doing great things and only focus on what you are good at; then GO DO MORE OF IT! It used to drive me crazy to see other coaches who seem to be more successful and I also felt I was a better coach or better at this or better at that. I didn’t think it was fair. But it didn’t matter because I was focused on the wrong things. Now I focus on what I’m good at and that’s helping people make money. When I changed what I focused on, all of my clients started making more money and experiencing leaps and bounds in their success. Then SO DID I! Hmmm, interesting how that happens.
3. I can’t fill my programs or I can’t sell my services! People just aren’t buying or signing up! My response is – Those people who ARE selling their programs and services are selling them because they believe in themselves, and their programs/services, AND they BELIEVE they DESERVE IT.
That’s not all though. It’s a two part process. They are also doing the correct things to promote them in a clear, consistent way where their ideal clients can hear them and want them. You can’t have one without the other. If you have the process down, but don’t have the belief down, it’s not going to work, and visa versa. Someone’s lack of faith or continuous questioning of themselves and the quality of their own work is preventing them from being able to sell it to everyone who needs it. If you aren’t clear in your message and are 100% confident that what you do is going to help other people in such a way that their life is going to be better than it was before they met you, why would you sell it? Why would someone else want it? Why would potential clients come to you for help? Stop trying to sell your products and services because you want to sell them or because you need to make more money. Sell them because you know 100% in your heart that it is going to make someone else’s life better and that they truly need it. If you don’t believe this, then go back to the drawing board and make it so. However until you believe that what you offer is going to make a difference in someone’s life, how will you be able to convince them that it will be. Notice, I did not say perfect. I said help someone to improve their life or make it better. Believe it! Then promote it with all of your belief!
So there are few more lessons I’ve learned that have become very clear to me over the last couple of years and even those which become much clearer each and every day. I will share more in the future but for today, on a lazy Sunday, I felt that these three were most important to share and that there was someone out there who needed to hear them just as I needed to at that moment when I did.

Most of the time, these comments come from someone who loves us and the truth is, they just want us to be out of pain and to be happy. If you were bringing in the money and your businesses was consistent, and not an up-and-down roller coaster, or “feast and famine” and your pain was EXTINGUISHED, everything else would change, as well. Even the comments would cease as others are thrilled to join in your happiness. However until we make a decision and the COMMITMENT that what we are doing IS what we were meant to do in this life, that we are ALL IN, and we ARE making a difference another people’s lives, the feast or famine will continue, the lack of support will continue and the lack of money and cash flow will continue. Make the choice to COMMIT.
